2018 Australia-China joint conference on Geometric Analysis and Differential Geometry

13-17 August 2018

Organised by: The University of Queensland

in collaboration with the Beijing International Center for Mathematics Research.

About the conference

The Australia-China joint conference will hold at the hotel 'Oaks Calypso Plaza' on Gold Coast (near Brisbane) from 13 to 17 August 2018. The conference is to host a number of leading Chinese and Australian mathematicians as well as providing the opportunity for young researchers and PhD students to get together to present new work in the field of Geometric Analysis and Differential Geometry. This conference will enhance the strong relationship between China and Australia in this area. Geometric Analysis has traditionally been one of the major Chinese scientific research areas and over the years, there have been many interactions with Australian researchers in this area.

Program: (Available here)

The program will focus on recent progress in Geometric partial differential equations and their applications in Differential Geometry. The topics covered will include areas in which both China and Australia have a record of strong contribution, including: Ricci and mean curvature flow; Kahler geometry and complex Geometry; Harmonic maps and Yang-Mills equations; Application of Nonlinear PDEs to Geometry.
