• As always, there are three lectures this week

• Tutorials WILL be held this week, and assignment 5 is due in by friday afternoon

• the additional contact hour WILL NOT be held this week.
• This week, we'll work through all of Section 6 and start Section 7 of the notes. The third set of lecture notes for this subject will be distributed on Wednesday.
• Do not fall behind: we are now almost one half of the way through semester, and almost all the way to the midsemester exam. If you're nervous, or confused, or failing due to math overload, then come and see me!
• tute on Tuesday 12-1 (previously in rooms 69-207 and 5-213) has moved to 67-208 (large room on ground floor of maths building).

• tute on Wednesday 11-12 (previously room 9-816) has moved to 7-G77 (one of the large lecture theatres in Physics building).

• tute on Wednesday 1-2 (previously room 1-E210) has moved to 67-111 (level 1 of the mathematics building).

• if you want to attend at Ipswich: {\bf all classes} on Wednesday and Friday will be held in building 6202 room 1.05, at Ipswich.

Copies of various handouts are available here. Because they include lots of mathematics, they are in a postscript (.ps) format. To be able to display them or print them, you will need a program which can understand postscript. See the bottom of this document for one, for PCs running Windows 95/98.
