1 Exercise #1 Solution #1 

Students must answer all questions published unanswered in Exercise 1, except for:
1) Question 10 Gimmel (concerning the exponential distribution).
2) Questions 12, 13 and 14 (concerning induction).

2 Exercise #2 Solution #2

1) The homework which was due to be handed on 29/10, can be handed next week.
2) Students must hand in the following homework at the beginning of next week's Tirgul:

From exercise number 1: questions 10, 12, 14.
From exercise number 2:
      i.    Chapter alef-1: questions 1, 3.
      ii.   Chapter alef-3: questions 2, 5 and also read the answer to question 1.
       iii. Chapter alef-4: questions 2, 3. (Notice that question 2 is from a test from last year.) 

 
3 Exercise #3 Solution #3

Students must hand in the following homework at the beginning of next week's tirgul: Exercise number 3, Chapter alef-5 and alef-6, Questions 5, 6, 7 bet, 9 and 14, 15.

(Notice that question 15 is from the "Lecture Booklet".)

The following questions are bonus questions (meaning students do not have to hand them in):

4 Exercise #4 Solution #4

Students must redo at home all exercises done during the Tirgul involving Markov Chains.

Questions from Tirgul 4 (Chapters bet-1, bet-2 and bet-3) to be handed in next week are: 1, 8, 9, 10 (alef 1, 2, 4, 5), 13, 17, 18, 28, 29, 30

Bonus Question: 32.
5 Exercise #5 Solution #5

The Homework is all of the exercises that were not solved in class.
Note: There is no update (non planed either) for Exercise #5.
6 Exercise #6 Solution #6

From exercise 6 – students must answer all question which were not answered in the tirgul.
From exercise 4 – students must answer questions 7, 14 and 15.

This week's homework:
1)      All the questions in the "Exercise #7" file.
 2)      Question 13 from the "Exercise #3" file (Concerning the cars. Ask yourself: How is this question related to the Poisson Process?).
3)      From the Exercise Booklet (From previous years):
   a)      Page 20 – exercises 8, 9, 11.
   b)      Page 21 – exercise 13 and all parts of exercise 12, which were not answered during the Tirgul.
